Are they glass frames?
We only have glass frames in A3 size (black border only), and used for local pickup and local delivery orders. Bigger sized frames do not have glass due to safety reasons, possibility of damage in transit and also due to weight.
Plexiglass is the lightweight and shatter-resistant alternative to glass that is used in our frames. This is a transparent plastic sheet which makes it safe for bigger sized frames to be hung on plaster walls, above bed heads and in kids rooms.
Are they ready to hang?
If you are buying framed prints, yes they are.
What can be used for hanging them?
There are a few things you should consider before hanging them on your walls. First is the weight. Then what do you want to hang them with, and also what type of wall you are hanging it on.
Option 1: Use Picture Hanging Strips
One of the most popular ways to hang picture frames without nails is to use picture hanging strips. These speciality strips contain a pressure-sensitive adhesive that holds until you’re ready to remove it, leaving no residue or damage. Each strip comes in two parts: one that adheres to the frame and one that adheres to the wall. To ensure that these strips hold up the frame, it’s important to use the right strips for your frame’s size and weight.
The most important part of using picture hanging strips is to follow the manufacturer’s instructions, such as cleaning the wall and waiting some time before attaching the frame.
Option 2 : Nails
If you are hanging a heavy picture on a plaster wall, it’s best to find a stud where you can securely anchor the wall hook. However, if you don’t have a stud in the position where you want to hang your picture there are plenty of options for anchoring wall hooks into plaster walls, including hollow wall anchors or toggles that expand and spread the pressure when installed.
If your walls are brick, simply drill a hole with a masonry bit, hammer in a plastic wall plug or some expansion spaghetti and insert the screw.
Or, if you have timber panelling, a nail, screw or picture hook should do the job.
Option3 : Lean them or use a picture shelf or a floating shelf
